Permit to Work System
Goal
To provide participants with the knowledge and skills to correctly issue and receive all types of permit to work and to provide participants with necessary understanding and skills to safely enter and manage confined space entry in a hazardous environment
Objectives
On completion of this course the trainees will:
- Understand standard permit to work related with task and work site
- Understand hazards and risks in a confined space.
- Understand and be able to rescue of persons from a confined space.
- Understand safety management system (tagging and lockout procedures, record and work permit issue, etc)
- Be able to identify hazards associated with the work task
- Be able conduct pre-job start & pre-operational checks

- Identify hazards and risks in a confined space
- Standard permit to work system
- Types of work permits (confined space entry, excavation, electrical isolation, hot work and fire fighting equipment – inhibition permit)
- Rescue of persons from confined space
- The duties of the safety sentry
- Maintain records and logs of entry
